If you're looking for my opinion on something, you'll find I'm looking on the bright side of things. That doesn't mean I'm actively searching for the silver lining in troubling situations, but it does mean that no matter how bad something is now, I believe that, not only will it pass, it will always work itself out.

Sometimes, this thinking frustrates my more worrisome family members, but I can't think of anything that didn't get better in the end. And no, I don't think I'm being dismissive about worries or feelings of anxiety. If anything, I know that positive thinking helps curb my anxiety. Telling myself problems are temporary or I'll find a way to fix a mistake relieves tension I would have otherwise carried around the entire day. Think about it: a few adverse interactions or occurrences in your day can weigh you down if it's all you focus on. When you start counting the positives, you'll see the difference it makes.

So I'd rather see the world half full. I'd rather linger on the bright side of the lawn. I'd rather put positive thoughts and energy out into the universe and be extra conscious about negative thinking. And, I'd rather be looked at like I'm  a little naive for being more optimistic, because it's worked for me for a very long time now. I can honestly say that looking on the bright side has kept me happy and grateful for all of my days.

But tell me about you. Are you a glass half full or half empty kind of person?

Until next time.

Cordially,

Bianca
